How to get the right sun tanning protection?
Written by suNNy on 9 August 2009 – 7:15 -
First of all you should protect your skin. Get the right advice from your doctor or pharmacist. He can determine your skin type and tell you which SPF (sun protection factor) is safe for you.
Next, consult your local newspaper, internet or tv station to know the UV-index predictions for that day. At last, get a good sun tanning creme. Take care, never use self tanners to protect you against harmful sun rays. They don’t offer you any protection, because they don’t have a sunscreen. Use self tanners if you want to get a tan without getting in the sun. This might be a good alternative to lying in the midday sun for hours.
If you want to know how much sun protection you need in any given situation, you can consult the safe sun calculator and the useful links on this site.
