Look for the UV-index at your place on a given day. Remember this index can change everyday, just as for example the maximum temperature does. You can find the UV-index in a local paper or on the internet. Go to the links section to find a site that returns the UV-index from all over the world.

The formulas in the calculator are based on information provided by the WHO and other sources (see links section). Sundicator.net or any of the mentioned sources cannot be held responsible for any consequence that may result from the use of the above mentioned UV-calculator.

Use your common sense when exposing yourself to the sun and listen to your doctor’s advice when it comes to suncare and safe sun tanning time.To use the UV-calculator, you need to know your skin type. Basically a low number means a higher risk of skin damage. Consult the above table if you don’t know what skin type you have.
If you’re not sure, rather underestimate your skin type. For example, you’re not sure whether you really are a type 3, then choose type 2. And ask your doctor the next time you visit him.

I tried it for today’s date using accurate information. Even though the uv-index was set to 11+, my results were 15 hours and 9 minutes on a sunny day. I dont care how high my spf is or how much suncreen I put on, if I saty in the sun that long I am going to get burned

  3. for skin care, you can use those topical vitamins, copper peptide and stuffs like that*.*

You have to try this product!, Really! Sun Putty SPF 30 is a fantastic product and is rated a 1 (0 being best, 10 being worst) by EWG. Their ingredients are incredible!…fights UVB and UVA sunlight naturally, and supports skin health without synthetic chemicals. They do not fill their product with unnecessary or ineffective ingredients (no water, alcohol or petrolatum). I do not burn AND my skin is incredibly smooth and hydrated since I’ve been using Sun Putty. You really should check this product out! http://www.sunputty.com

Looking for the ultimate golden tan, without the harmful UV rays of the sun or tanning beds? Look no further, because this is it, this is a Joliese tan. Joliese tanning spray gives you a beautiful bronze glow, like you’ve just gotten a professional spa tan, but guess what? You won’t pay spa prices for this one. Joliese will give you an excellent tan, it will bronze you from head to toe, and it won’t turn your skin orange like most inferior brands. That’s because Joliese contains a streak-free, natural color and is full of FDA-approved Dihydroxyacetone, which is what makes the tan happen. Unlike other lesser brands, Joliese has a refreshing scent, doesn’t contain alcohol, won’t stain your clothes, and will make your skin look great; even if your skin doesn’t tan in the sun. Joliese guarantees to make you look more healthy and beautiful and hides blemishes as well.

  6. This is great! Many people forget even if its cloudy you can still get a wicked sun burn cause the UV factor is high.

  7. Thanks for introducing me to the calculator. Hope it will be useful me.

Do you know how to calculate SPF theoretically?
For example, if there is 2% Titanium dioxide in the sunblock lotion, 2% of Titanium dioxide will give at least 2 SPF units

I wish I could download this to my Mac, or my iPhone so I have it when I’m not able to get on the net. (Great to have when I’m out on the water.)
